‘Y&R’ and ‘DOOL’ Actor Announces Sweet Family News
A soap star is expecting his first baby with his wife. Lucas Adams, who just started on The Young and the Restless as Noah Newman, is about to become a father.
Adams, who also portrayed Tripp Johnson in over 400 episodes of Days of Our Lives, shared the big baby news with People on November 12.
The actor, 32, and his wife, Shelby Wulfert, expect their first child to arrive in February 2026. They are keeping the baby’s gender a secret.
Wulfert and Adams first met when they both had roles on the Disney series Liv and Maddie. Wulfert’s role was dubbed “Madde 2,” as she was one of the acting doubles who helped pull off Dove Cameron playing both twins, Liv and Maddie, on the series. She also appeared in the episode titled “Linda and Heather-A-Rooney,” playing Heather, in the Season 4, Episode 2 show.

Adams appeared in 11 episodes of Liv and Maddie, playing Josh Wilcox. The couple started dating in 2015 after meeting on the set, and they got married in October 2022.
After People announced the news, Wulfert shared photos on Instagram from a professional maternity shoot they recently did. “We could not be more excited about this news,” she wrote in the caption.
In addition, Adams shared a few shots via his Instagram Stories. In the first, he reshared what Wulfert posted in her own Instagram Story. She quipped, “This secret was getting too big to keep…literally.” In the photos, Wulbert’s baby bump is impossible to miss.
Friends and fans of the couple flooded the comment section of the Instagram post with love.
“CONGRATS!! You’re going to be incredible parents,” one person wrote.
Someone else wrote, “WHAT congratulations you two!!!”
An additional comment read, “Congratulations!!! I cannot think of two better humans to be creating and raising more humans.”
Brandon Barash, who also used to be on Days of Our Lives, wrote, “Yes! I’m ecstatic for you guys. Get ready for the ride of your lives. Nothing like it.”
Another Days of Our Lives alum, Martha Madison, added, “Soooo happy for you two!”
Paul Telfer and Dan Feuerriegel, also from Days, were among those additional colleagues who left congratulatory notes.
